(Remember to tell us to go back to your "permanent" address when you are ready to return home.) Express Scripts Pharmacy Subscribers If your physician writes "DAW" (Dispense As Written) on a prescription when a generic is available, you will be charged your co-payment AND an additional cost. You may call Express Scripts and they will tell you your total cost for the name brand med. If your physician insists on the name brand med, you will need to get prior authorization and an "ancillary fee override" from Express Scripts. If approved, the prior authorization and override will lower the additional cost. The authorization and override are good for one year.
